Overview of the Summary and Intent tool
The Summary & Intent tool is inside the SERP Analyzer, under the dedicated report.
It delivers two levels of information:
- Search intent analysis: Shows the dominant intent, the most effective content format, a one-paragraph query summary, and the user’s objectives.
- Per-page summaries: Each top result is classified by intent and format and includes a concise summary of the page’s content.

Search Intent Analysis
The first section focuses on the search intent analysis or why people are searching and what they want to achieve.
At the top, you’ll see several chips:
- Main search intent:
- Informational: Learn about a topic, process, or problem
- Navigational: Reach a specific website or brand
- Commercial: Compare tools or options before deciding
- Transactional: ready to take action — sign up, buy, contact, or download
- Dominant content format: the type of page most common in the top 10 results (guide, listicle, product page, etc.)

The search intent analysis also provides:
- A summary of what the ranking pages cover
- Insights into the user’s goal and main objectives
Use this information to decide how to shape your article: from the angle you take, to the style and format most likely to perform.
Page Summary
Below the intent overview, you’ll find a summary and analysis for each page in the SERP.
At the top of each page block, you’ll see two chips:

Page intent represents the page’s purpose (different from overall search intent). Possible values include:

Tips to Make the Most of the Intent Analysis Tool
To get the best results, go beyond just reading the summaries and use the insights to guide your content strategy and optimize the search intent.
Here’s how:
- Match the dominant intent: If most top results are commercial, don’t publish a purely informational guide. Align your content with what users actually expect.
- Use the correct format: Notice if listicles or comparisons dominate? Create your own in that style, but aim to add unique value.
- Spot content gaps: Look for missing angles (e.g., no pricing breakdowns, lack of visuals, or outdated info) and make your content more complete.
- Map to the funnel: Check whether queries are informational (awareness), commercial (consideration), or transactional (decision) — then tailor your content to the right stage.
- Leverage page summaries: Use the per-page summaries to quickly benchmark competitors without reading every article in full.
